James Kellner leads our Anglo-Saxon and Asia-Pacific desks and our AI & Technology Law practice. He advises US, UK and Singaporean technology companies on the full IP and tech-regulatory stack — patent licensing, software contracts, GDPR, the EU AI Act, employment and immigration for tech talent.
James qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales and as an attorney in California. He spent five years at a Silicon Valley boutique focusing on patent and AI policy before joining Ferraz & Whitmore. He is the firm's lead author on AI law and our designated specialist for the EU AI Act risk-tier compliance framework.
His current focus is on the application of the EU AI Act to non-EU developers shipping into the EU market, on the new product-liability framework for AI systems, and on the IP-ownership treatment of AI-generated works in the US, UK and EU jurisdictions.
Send a brief note describing your situation. James Kellner or a colleague from our team will respond within 24 hours.
